Michael Steinbach, at the age of twelve, discovered his love of storytelling through the lens of his family's home video camera. His passion for writing and directing films led him to the prestigious New York University, Tisch School of the Arts. While attending NYU he wrote and directed seven comedy shorts
including Mr. Comfortable, Psychology Girl, and Companionship, which was voted Best Picture out of 180 films and was later screened at the NYU - Sight & Sound Film Showcase.

Since graduating with a degree in Film and Television Production, Steinbach has co-written three feature-length screenplays varying in genre from a psychological thriller to a white trash comedy. In 2006, Steinbach wrote and directed, Placebo, a suspense thriller short film starring Jason Ritter as a paranoid schizophrenic. Placebo was well received, screening at film festivals in cities all over North America.

While Steinbach continues his collaborations with "Very Angry Neighbors" creating comedy shorts, he has also gained invaluable filmmaking experience working in production on such films as Poseidon, Rumor Has It, Lords of Dogtown, Spider-Man 2, Master & Commander, Spider-Man, and Stuart
